What a lovely read Sally and I can relate as recently I visited my daughter in the Southern Highlands of NSW for her one month Year 9 Program. I had a 'lump in my throat' too when I said goodbye to her! It sounds like your children are growing up fast and on their personal adventures which is fantastic. They will always have a lovely home to come back.

And I only had sisters. They say girls get in your head and boys crawl into your heart... I think it's true. My sisters and I collectively were a handful 😂 But these boys... heartache!

@Sally Frawley, I am a 24 year old so I won't say I could relate to the mothering instinct. But I have recently started writing on Substack and I loved your writing style. I wanted to express that, that I loved it. A nice background for spinach rolls. Cute and sweet..
