In Autumn, I love making a stewed/winter fruit tart from apples, pears, apricots and prunes. It doesn't require much sugar and I love the tart mess topped with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream.

In summer, my family likes a crisp made of blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries, again, and always (!) topped with vanilla ice cream.

Last week a friend gave me 3 cups of pitted(!) sour cherries which made the most delicious pie.

I guess I really do love cooked fruit!
